Tori Oothoudt, LCSW

Therapist

Hey there! Tori (they/them) is a LCSW (MO) and a LSCSW (KS), and they are here to help those 16+ get through this thing called life. They come to Ellie from the inpatient sector, so they have experience with many different diagnoses/issues, including Bipolar, OCD, Schizophrenia, and suicidality. Their specialties, though, include women’s issues; LGBTQIA+ concerns, including gender identity and dysphoria; and depression, anxiety, and panic, or even all three at once because life is funny like that. Tori is passionate about working with veterans and military service members and families, as they’ve been a military brat, a soldier who deployed, and a military spouse.

Tori brings empathy, warmth, curiosity, and humor to their sessions, where they utilize CBT, DBT, and a strengths-based perspective to help you understand yourself better so you’re able to achieve the life you want for yourself. They also look through the lens of Radical Therapy as so many of our internal struggles come from the systems outside our control.

When not working, you can find Tori at a Current game (KC BABY!), Screenland Armour Movie House, or at home, where they enjoy reading, grandma hobbies, especially cross stitch, and chilling with their cats, Seamus and Darby.
