#LiveAuthentic With Professional Counseling Services
Ellie Mental Health in Chanhassen, Minnesota isn’t your average therapy clinic. We’ve created a comfy, judgment-free zone where you can be authentic, get real about where you’re at in your mental health, and receive the compassionate care you deserve. We strive to break down treatment barriers and provide you with customized counseling services that meet your therapy needs.
Work one-on-one with a therapist who will provide you with mental health care individualized to your needs. Whether you are seeking treatment for a mental illness, support for a recent life change, or help in a specific area of your life, individual therapy is just between you and your therapist.
Attend therapy session with your partner – whether you’re just dating, engaged, or married. Couples therapy is a safe place to talk through relationship issues with a counselor you can trust, get help navigating a divorce, or build a strong foundation for the future.
Attend therapy from the comfort and convenience of your home, or wherever else you have an internet connection. With online therapy, you get deep with your therapist while sipping tea in your favorite comfy chair, snuggled in your pajamas, or between work meetings.
Work through family conflict with a therapist who can facilitate the conversation, work through harmful patterns, and improve communication skills. Family therapy is a group effort – bring your partner, the kids, the in-laws, stepchildren, your siblings, or whoever else is involved with your family dynamic.
Get support in helping children manage mental health symptoms and learn rehabilitative skills to set them up for success down the road. This mental health service provided by a Children’s Therapeutic Services & Support therapist is a team effort involving both children and their families.
If physical health, significant mental health symptoms, or socio-economic limitations are keeping you or your loved one from accessing the treatment you need, we offer in-home therapy. We work with a variety of concerns that affect multiple age groups.
If a combination of therapy and medication management is the right treatment path for your mental health needs, our psychiatric prescriber can prescribe, evaluate, and manage your medication. Our prescribers work closely with your therapist to ensure you are receiving the best treatment possible.
Loss and bereavement can be immobilizing. You might not know how to move forward or what comes next. Grief therapy provides you with professional support as you work through loss, process any trauma, and navigate next steps.
Work through unresolved trauma and identify the areas of your life that trauma has impacted. Trauma-informed therapy means working with a therapist who has a deep understanding of the may ways trauma can affect your life and your overall sense of self, safety, and well-being.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy
EMDR is a cutting-edge, evidence-backed treatment approach for treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and a wide range of mental health disorders. EMDR therapy often involves you talking about your trauma while moving your eyes back and forth to reprocess the traumatic experience.
When in the hands of therapists, physicians, and nurse practitioners, psychedelics can be used as an integrative healing approach that opens the mind and helps with a wide range of mental health disorders. INTERO provides psychedelic therapy in Minnesota.

Meet Your Therapist at Chanhassen
Community Based Mental Health Practitioner
Holly Figg, BAHolly is a compassionate therapist who believes that the process of making or creating art has healing capabilities. Creating art in a therapeutic setting provides a safe, non-judge mental environment to express feelings both conscious and subconscious. She recognizes that in our daily lives we experience life situations that are traumatic to our well being. We cannot stop life from occurring, however we do have the control of how we respond to them. We can chose to respond positively or negatively to our experiences depending on the here and now of our ability to process the situation. When Holly is not at work, she is an avid student at Adler Graduate School pursuing a master's degree in Art therapy. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family playing games and being outside. Holly also is a professional pour painter and spends creative time in her studio preparing for art shows in the metro area.
Melissa Yates, MSW, LGSW
Melissa is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker who is passionate about the therapeutic relationship. She believes that authenticity is key to this relationship and that change happens in the context of the therapeutic relationship. She also views the family system as integral to helping the client, especially with adolescents. Melissa works with adolescents and adults and is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community.
Prior to joining Ellie, Melissa was a school-based therapist. Before that, she was a stay at home mom for several years.
When she is not working, Melissa enjoys hanging out with her family, crocheting, reading, playing piano, and diamond painting.
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Trevor Gohner, MS, LPCC
Trevor is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and provides therapy to adults of all ages and a wide variety of concerns, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, identity development (including sexual orientation, racial/ethnic identity, religious/spiritual identity), grief and loss, and phase of life difficulty. He has experience working with a diverse clientele individually and with couples, and strives to understand his clients' lived experience from their unique perspective.
Trevor works to meet the needs of his clients by establishing a strong therapeutic alliance (and is not afraid to incorporate humor appropriately, because sometimes we just have to laugh!) and utilizes an eclectic approach, incorporating CBT, ACT, DBT, and EMDR Therapy. Trevor holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling & Student Personnel from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
