Meet Lyra, our vibrant & spunky Canine Therapy Assistant. At almost 5 years old, this Pomsky brings her own brand of energy and sass to every therapy session, proving that healing comes in many forms. With her attuned and empathetic nature, Lyra knows just how to connect with clients, offering not only comfort but also a sense of safety and companionship.
Her playful and energetic spirit may fill the room with joy, but Lyra also understands that therapy can be tough. When being playful just doesn’t seem to be what’s best, Lyra sits quietly by a client’s side, offering a her soft fur to pet or just a calming presence in the room. Her intuitive ability to read people’s energy helps her know when to encourage, when to play, and when to just be there, sitting in stillness, as a gentle reminder that it’s okay to take a moment of peace.
Beyond her calming presence, Lyra also encourages communication. Whether through a soft nudge or a curious tilt of her head, she sparks moments of connection, helping clients feel more open and comfortable expressing themselves. Lyra is particularly helpful in creating an environment where clients, especially those dealing with anxiety, stress, PTSD, and depression, can take a deep breath, feel heard, and let down their guards.
Lyra has been helping many find balance, comfort, and resilience in their therapeutic journey. No matter what’s going on, she’s always ready to lend a paw—or just sit quietly and offer a moment of calm when it’s needed most.
