Kelly O’Donnell, LAC

Therapist

I have been practicing for over 15 years as an individual/family therapist as well as an elementary school social worker. I received my Master of Science in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology in 2009 and am a Licensed Associate Counselor. My approach to therapy is client-centered, empathetic, and solution-focused. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, build coping skills, and work towards meaningful change. My clinical experience spans a range of therapeutic modalities, and I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Adoption Counseling.

I have experience working with children, adolescents and women experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, attachment disorders, and stress/burnout. I specialize in working with children and families impacted by foster, kinship and adoptive placements as well as parents and siblings of children struggling with mental health, as their mental health needs often are overlooked. I am passionate about supporting other mental health professionals and educators. I recognize the toll that working in these fields can take, which is why I offer therapy and consultation for therapists, educators, and other helping professionals who are dealing with job stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and the impact of secondary trauma.
