Janie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor with certification in Play Therapy. She graduated from Arkansas State University with her Ed.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Play Therapy Certification. Janie believes that therapy is for everyone! Her passion for helping others shines through her Adlerian theoretical approach with emphasis on family dynamics, childhood experiences and overall self acceptance. Janie uses an array of techniques, and thoroughly believes that the client is the expert. Her collaborative approach allows clients to feel empowered to overcome hardships and feel confident in leading a fulfilling life. Janie has experience treating children and parents, as well as adolescents and adult individuals – specifically clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self esteem, autism, ADHD, child-parent relationship issues and life transitions. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, traveling, practicing self care and most importantly… PLAYING! Janie recognizes that being vulnerable can feel scary, and always aims to provide an emotionally safe space for her clients.
