Rachel Dean is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Brittany Christiansen, PhD, LPC-S. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2024 and previously spent two and a half years in community mental health, providing care to underserved and vulnerable populations. During this time, she specialized in crisis intervention and chronic suicidality, gaining extensive experience supporting individuals with difficult-to-manage symptoms.
Rachel works primarily with adults seeking support for trauma recovery, emotional regulation, or meaningful growth. She integrates evidence-based and holistic treatments including behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness practices, polyvagal therapy to regulate the nervous system, and Internal Family Systems (parts work.) Her practice is grounded in humanistic and person-centered principles, emphasizing each individual’s capacity to transform unhelpful narratives, deepen self-understanding, and build resilience.
She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment that promotes personal empowerment for lasting, self-directed change.
Rachel has experience supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and depression, adverse childhood experiences, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar and other mood disorders, C-PTSD, Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, and ADHD.
