Maya is Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience working at a nonprofit agency serving individuals who have experienced trauma and at a university coordinating care for clients as young as five years old. She has also worked with adolescents, couples, and families. Maya prioritizes empathy and relationship-building in therapy. She believes the most rewarding aspect of her work is helping clients realize they are not defined by their difficult experiences and empowering them through self-advocacy.
Outside of work, Maya enjoys spending time with her family, reading, tending to houseplants, and rewatching old reality shows for comfort.
