Kari is a mental health therapist with personal experience and education specifying in trauma work, substance use disorders and relationships. She has researched adverse childhood experiences and their impact on our development. Her understanding and work with adolescents have been shown to be effective. Kari believes that understanding, self-acceptance and self-awareness are the beginning steps of healing. She provides a safe, empathetic space for the therapeutic value of human connection to prosper change and growth. Kari has a natural gift of empathy, personal experiences and the educational background to provide individualized therapy for clients. She utilizes multiple modalities to ensure each client’s given the most effective therapy. Kari’s passion for helping others has led to training in EMDR, Prolonged exposure therapy and a heart for ongoing knowledge.

Kari prioritizes her three children, dog and loved ones. She also enjoys being in nature and being with friends.
