Jayme obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Appalachian State University and is a proud Mountaineer, but moved to Wilmington because the ocean reminds her that she is part of something bigger. Jayme loves her work with children, teens, and young adults (ages 5-25 years of age. Her goal as a therapist is to create a warm and inviting environment that meets each person where they are. Jayme understands that everyone’s journey is different. She uses Adlerian, feminist, and multicultural approaches to therapy. This means that she recognizes that larger systems and societal expectations influence everyone’s day-to-day life; her focus is on each person and their individual concerns, strengths, and attainable goals. Jayme focused her studies on Expressive Arts Therapy and trauma-informed care and enjoys helping people learn how to incorporate the creative process into their self-care and healing. Jayme is not only a LCMHCA, but also a dog and cat mom, the coolest aunt, a devoted partner, a bookworm, an Enneagram 8, and so much more.
