Hima is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in trauma therapy, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and cultural-relational work. With a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and social-justice informed perspective, Hima is committed to cultivating a collaborative, reflective, and supportive space for clients. They specialize in working with adolescents and adults, tailoring the treatment approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Techniques are drawn from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Positive Psychology (PoPsy). Hima aims to nurture a therapeutic environment that honors each person’s identity and experience while aiding their healing journey with a sense of interdependence and self-compassion.

When not working, they enjoy watching movies, exploring nature, and spending time with friends and family.
