Esther Son, APCC/AMFT

Therapist

I’m an associate marriage and family therapist and professional clinical counselor with a strong academic and clinical background. I’ve trained in techniques like CBT, CPT, TF-CBT, and ERP, which I use to help clients struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, and complex PTSD. I spent several years researching intergroup dynamics at the University of Oxford. I have published works on how intergroup contact affects outgroup attitudes and social cohesion and how contemplative practices, such as mindfulness, can help individuals disentangle from the internalization of oppression-related narratives. As a Korean-American and member of the LGBTQI+ community, I prioritize creating an inclusive, compassionate space for healing, using my personal and professional experiences to inform my evidence-based approach.
