Emily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Austin Peay State University in 2010 and returned in 2018 to complete a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her full license as an LPC-MHSP in 2023. Emily loves working with a diverse population of adults, but has a specific passion for LGBTQIA+ populations and neurodivergent women, especially those who didn’t find out they were neuro-spicy until they were in adulthood! Emily thinks therapy is a path the therapist walks with the client letting the client lead the way in what works best for them and thus she curates the types of therapeutic interventions she uses to each individual person, but she often pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy. When she’s not in session, Emily enjoys time with family and friends, being in the water, and becoming a cat lady.
