Cindy is a licensed professional clinical counselor with over twenty years of experience in the behavioral health field. She is an empathetic therapist who works with couples, families, and individuals navigating challenging life transitions. She has practiced in both outpatient and residential settings, including family reunification and managing the stresses of family caregiving. Cindy believes that everyone is an expert in their own life experiences and is ready to come alongside you to find a path for improving the areas of your life where you are struggling.
Cindy values the opportunity to help clients identify opportunities for personal growth, behavior change, and improvement in their relationships by exploring methods for reframing thoughts and understanding how thoughts and beliefs shape choices. She recognizes that everyone has unique personal experiences that inform their worldviews, impacting the appropriate therapeutic approach needed. Cindy is a board-approved clinical supervisor and commits a portion of her week to supporting pre-licensed clinicians in obtaining independent clinical licensure in the State of Minnesota.
She is not a native of Minnesota but has lived here with her spouse and children for twenty years, embracing many aspects of what the Northland offers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dogs. She also enjoys sewing, baking, and being outdoors. Cindy is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Behavioral Health.
