April has been in the industry for over two decades, working in a variety of settings that include Outpatient, In patient, In home, Non-Profit, community-based organizations, Residential treatment facilities, private practice and Corporate. April has over a decade working with grief, trauma and with families transitioning through divorce, separation, loss and years of experience working directly with Adolescents and Adults with autism diagnoses and their families. April is an advocate for whole person wellness and closing the gap of health disparities in minorities. She has marched on Capitol Hill for change with the American with Disabilities Act, has spoken at conferences, events and on radio regarding various mental health topics. As a Licensed Clinician, April is a clinically certified Trauma specialist and works with individuals dealing with Trauma, Grief, Stress related disorders, Life transitions, Managing emotions, Caregiver stress, Parenting, Relationship/marital conflict, and behavior modification. April is passionate about educating, providing awareness and equipping individuals with tools and skills to become the best version of themselves in order to build healthy families that will build stronger communities and organizations.
