Dr. Porter is a compassionate and dedicated Post-Doctoral Resident committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and client-centered space where individuals can explore challenges and achieve positive growth. She strongly believes the foundation of therapy is a nurturing relationship, and she offers empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard to help her clients thrive.
Dr. Porter works with adults, young adults, and children. Her specialty areas include PTSD and trauma-related disorders (including sexual and domestic violence), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, life stressors, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as her primary framework, focusing on how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors. She skillfully integrates other evidence-based modalities like DBT, ERP, MI, and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) to create a tailored and effective plan for each client. Dr. Porter is dedicated to helping clients build resilience and overcome adversities to live a positive, high-quality life.
