Aaron is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Religion and his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lee University. He has additional certifications in Adoption Competency, Emotion Focused Therapy (for couples and families), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Currently, Aaron focuses on relationship counseling, LGBTQIA+ issues, neurodivergence, and spiritual or religious trauma. Before joining Ellie, he worked in non-profit mental health, private practice, and adoption-centered care. Aaron is passionate about helping people with their attachment, relationships, and emotions to support our community.
Aaron’s authenticity, compassion, and open-hearted approach with colleagues and clients alike are what motivated him to join Ellie. He recognizes that when a person stops learning and feeling, they risk losing their spark. His passion is supporting others as the learn to ignite that spark and grow. Whether they are fellow clinicians or clients, witnessing others blossom is what truly feels his own cup. Aaron believes that a strong team begins with humility, an open heart, and an open mind. A strong team is essential for clinicians to feel empowered, and empowered clinicians have the ability to empower others to thrive. That is Aaron’s mission: to inspire others not just to live, but to thrive.
Outside of work, Aaron can often be spotted with his dogs, friends, and colleagues, enjoying all the things St. Pete has to offer. During his free time, you might find him relaxing at the beach, taking a stroll down Central Avenue, trying out the local gluten free cuisine, or relaxing at home playing video games or curled up reading a good book.
