Katherine is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Ball State University. She has experience working in community mental health with children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health issues, specifically related to trauma.
Katherine believes that the therapeutic relationship, the client’s expertise about their own lives, and working collaboratively with clients to identify and utilize the client’s strengths are imperative to successfully reaching personalized treatment goals. Katherine is passionate about supporting clients in understanding and healing from trauma, managing depression and anxiety, and improving clients’ overall quality of life. Katherine uses evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. Katherine is also working to expand her expertise in other evidence-based practices. In her free time, Katherine enjoys crocheting, walking her dog, and shopping at the farmer’s market.
