Emily is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who cares about meeting people where they are at and helping them achieve the growth they are hoping for. Currently on track for LPCC licensure, Emily is a master’s level clinician currently under supervision while she completes the required hours. She utilizes a person-centered, solution-focused approach in therapy, helping clients gain more insight into their symptoms and achieve goals that are set collaboratively. Emily views the counseling relationship as the foundation for therapeutic progress. She wants her clients to feel empowered within sessions and in their daily lives, which is why she emphasizes collaboration on goals that are set and decisions that are made in therapy. She also utilizes a system’s approach, understanding that each individual is impacted by the systems in which they exist, and emphasizing the importance of societal, cultural, and familial factors. Outside of work, Emily enjoys doing anything outdoors, including spending time in her garden, with her animals (chickens, cats, and a dog), connecting with nature, or helping out with one of the many projects her husband is working on! In her free time, Emily also enjoys reading, writing, and art.
