Zuryah Bustamante, LMSW

Therapist

As an inclusive Black therapist, Zuryah (she/her) provides services to diverse populations who deal with varying stressors and challenges in life. Zuryah also wants to give acknowledgement to the oppressive and discriminatory systems that work to marginalize individuals and groups in our society. These systems can have a negative effect on our mental health, as well as how we view yourselves and the world. By empowering yourself through therapy, you are making time to put your needs first and discuss issues that are important to your wellbeing. Zuryah’s main focus and experience has been working with individuals with depression, low self-esteem, anger issues, anxiety, building on coping/mindfulness strategies, individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community and addressing racial/cultural trauma. As your therapist, she will utilize trauma informed and strength based therapeutic techniques and tools to tailor a treatment plan to fit your unique needs. Zuryah wants you to feel comfortable in your session, so if you need to use a fidget toy, draw on a white board or choose to sit on a floor cushion instead of a chair, she can happily accommodate you.
