Stephanie Osuba, LAC, C-DBT

Therapist

Stephanie is a fierce advocate for mental health and a collaborative counselor. She is a firm believer that clients are the experts of their own lived experiences and, therefore, are already armed with the tools they need to start their healing journey – it just might take some empowering and empathic listening to help get there. Together, Stephanie, and her clients, work on building a rapport and cultivating that trusting and unique therapeutic relationship with each individual. She enjoys uplifting and supporting clients, while also challenging their ways of thinking making her a non-judgmental and compassionate, but realistic sounding board. Her therapeutic style is influenced by person-centered therapy (Rogerian), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, which have all been clinically proven to foster positive changes in thinking, alleviate symptoms, and improve client mood and overall quality of life.

Stephanie obtained her master’s degree in clinical mental health and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Montclair State University and has completed her field work at an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab facility. She is passionate about working with those who struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as other mood and personality disorders, adjustment issues, and self-esteem. She is currently working on becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with loved ones, Pilates, and petting all the dogs.
