Stephanie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who graduated from Springfield College with an M.Ed. in 2008 and has been a practicing clinician since then. Having started her career working as an intern on an Adult Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, her passion for supporting others on their recovery journey ignited. Using a Strengths Based, Person Centered, Trauma Informed, and Recovery Oriented lens and approach, Stephanie has worked with many individuals who have experienced varying mental health experiences and challenges.
During Stephanie’s career, she became educated and experienced, working with people who have lived with both mental health and substance use disorders. She further developed her skills and has become well versed in supporting individuals across the life span. Some of these mental health experiences include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, challenges around attachment, challenges navigating grief / loss, stress management, self-esteem challenges, conflict resolution challenges, life transitions, and gender identity exploration. She pulls into her work many evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Illness Management and Recovery, with the expectation of pivoting interventions as the individuals’ needs’ pivot.
Stephanie firmly embraces the belief that we all have a core, tools, within ourselves and it is the therapeutic alliance that forms between therapist and individual that provides an opportunity to tap into what we already possess. Hope. Resilience. Ability to find our own path, in our own way, and in our own time.
