Shelbi is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with individuals, couples, and families from ages 5 and up. She has developed a clinical background working with individuals with ADHD, ODD, Depression, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, struggles with emotional regulation, and people within the LGBTQIA+ community. Shelbi started her therapeutic career working at a private school dedicated to assisting youth and families impacted by Arizona’s Foster Care System. There, she found a passion for supporting individuals who have endured trauma and moments of intense stress in their life. She incorporates this passion into her practice by utilizing trauma informed techniques to promote a sense of safety and security while the client shares their experiences. Shelbi values her client’s voice and encourages them to provide direction as they establish a unique treatment plan tailored to address their therapeutic needs. She focuses on using a strengths-based approach with clients to promote the implementation of a growth mindset through the use of various therapeutic modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. She is also trained to perform multiple therapeutic modalities used to treat complex trauma, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.) and Critical Memory Integration (C.M.I.).
In her spare time, Shelbi can be found spending time with her friends and family, playing with her dog, Macy, or decorating homes on Animal Crossing.
