Shelbee is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Amy Barton, M.Ed., LPC-S, CSC, CATP. Shelbee was a public-school teacher before graduating from Texas A&M Commerce with a Master of Science in Counseling. Her years of working with children and teens in educational settings has given her a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges in today’s world. She is passionate about working with families and helping young minds flourish and thrive. Shelbee has experience working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She also has experience utilizing Play Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, CBT, Mindfulness techniques, as well as client centered therapy tailored to meet the needs of each client. She aims to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their emotions, learn coping skills, and build resilience. Shelbee offers in person services for children 5+, and the option of in person or telehealth to clients 14+.
