Sarah Floyd, LCMHC-A

Therapist

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate.

I am passionate about providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all my clients. As an LGBTQ+-affirmative counselor, I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ identity development, academic stress, life transitions, and daily stressors. I specialize in working with individuals aged 14 and up, particularly older teens and young adults.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, emphasizing empathy and understanding. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness to tailor my sessions to each client’s unique needs. I believe in empowering clients to find their strengths and achieve their goals in a safe, nonjudgmental space.

Beyond my professional life, I am an avid gardener, especially fond of growing various tomato and pepper plants. I also enjoy baking sweet treats and experimenting with new recipes. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, helping clients navigate their challenges, and promoting mental well-being. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards personal growth and healing.
