Ronica Symes, LCSW, graduated from the University of Utah with her Master of Social Work in 2006. Ronica has dedicated her career to helping others, serving in both clinical and administrative roles at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City since 2008, where she specializes in Medical Social Work, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Ronica played an integral role on the VA’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Team, creating comprehensive DBT treatment programs that encompassed individual therapy, coaching calls, skills group sessions, and team consultation. She is deeply passionate about DBT and recognizes its unique blend of validation, change, mindfulness, and skills acquisition as transformative elements in improving the quality of life for her clients and their families.

Ronica believes in the power of play as a vital aspect of overall well-being. She loves spending her personal time playing with her daughter and their dog, going camping, skiing, traveling, and engaging in the arts.
