Nicole Fagone, MSW/LICSW

Clinic Director

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker providing individual counseling to the young adult, college student, adult and older adult populations. I believe in meeting the client where they are in their life and working from there. I provide an atmosphere where you will feel valued and heard. In therapy we will work together to identify problems, learn new coping skills or “fine tune” existing skills, which will lead to the change you are seeking. Therapy is a collaborative process in which clients will be encouraged to explore their feelings and behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental, sometimes humorous and supportive setting. I encourage the client to be their authentic self.

I have been a social worker for over 25 years providing psychiatric care and support in private practice, nursing facilities, VNA, hospice and care management. I graduated from Merrimack College with a degree in psychology, then attended Boston University where I received my master’s degree in clinical social work. My years of experience have allowed me time to speak professionally about behavioral health in the older adult at conferences and corporate trainings. I’m also skilled in dementia related behaviors and providing support to their caregivers.

Over the years, I have worked with clients who are dealing with physical, intellectual and behavioral challenges. My background includes working with clients who’ve had depression, anxiety, life stressors, parenting issues, trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, ADHD, life transition, cross-cultural concerns and chronic mental illness. The theoretical frameworks I typically use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, solution focused, Strength-Based Approach and empathic listening.
