Melissa Affronti has over 25 years of experience in human services. She has worked with various populations from direct clinical work to organizational support and social justice. Melissa has also taught and trained in numerous settings such as social work education, program implementation in human services, and yoga classes. Melissa utilizes a person-centered approach in therapy to build trust, goal setting to work toward progress, and a strengths-based approach throughout all her work. She primarily works with adults of all ages, including older adolescents and young adults, and couples. Melissa focuses on anxiety, depression, and finding meaning and hope through life transitions. She provides tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, and can incorporate mind-body techniques such as mindfulness and relaxation.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her two children and family, and finding moments of peace in the beautiful Arizona landscape.
