Hi, I’m Maya, a therapist at Ellie Mental Health in Fairfax. I work with individuals who are used to showing up for everyone else—but inside may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who they are in this season of life. Many of my clients are navigating big transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, or the quiet weight of trying to meet expectations while staying true to themselves.
I support clients working through anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity exploration, especially when those experiences are shaped by cultural background, family dynamics, or unspoken pressures. If you’ve ever felt like you have to “figure it all out” on your own, therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry that alone.
My approach is both practical and compassionate. I use evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT to help you build real-life coping skills, while also creating space to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to who you are.
I’m especially passionate about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen and respected. I approach each client with cultural humility and curiosity, recognizing how identity, family, and lived experiences shape the way we move through the world.
Some of the most powerful moments in therapy are the subtle ones—when you start speaking to yourself with more compassion, setting boundaries without guilt, or realizing you don’t have to keep living on autopilot. It’s an honor to walk alongside clients as they grow into those moments.
I chose Ellie Fairfax because it reflects the kind of care I believe in—authentic, inclusive, and human. This is a place where you can show up exactly as you are, and we’ll meet you there.
