Marie is a Clinical Social Work Candidate with a Masters in Social Work and undergraduate degree in Child & Family Studies from Baylor University. Marie emphasizes work that helps clients feel empowered within themselves and the systems impacting them. Marie takes a client-centered and occasionally eclectic approach utilizing EMDR, narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT to support clients in working through the impacts of trauma and pursuing authenticity and well-being. As a queer-identifying therapist, Marie is particularly passionate about working with clients who need a safe place to explore new identities, such as sexuality, gender, religious deconstruction/reconstruction, spirituality, self-esteem, and values. She also loves to work with adults and parents who are seeking to intentionally break intergenerational cycles to foster a healthy future for themselves and their families.
In her free time, Marie loves to go hiking and camping with her partner and dog. She loves reading epic fantasy, stargazing, and watching period pieces.
