Marcos is a licensed clinical professional counselor as well as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Marcos has had a plethora of experience working with addiction prior to joining Ellie. During this time, he learned about what it means to create a safe and comfortable environment where people can feel like they can be their most authentic selves. Building on that, Marcos is an eternal optimist; Marcos’ approach to problem solving focuses on what you’re already good at and tempers those existing strengths. One of his greatest joys is watching others succeed with the tools that are already at their disposal.
Marcos is a firm believer of clinician/client collaboration and will ensure that your voice is heard during the treatment planning process. He is a champion of articulation of boundaries and emotions and believes that those are the building blocks of healthy relationships (professional and personal). Marcos will walk with you on your personal journey of self-discovery.
In his spare time, Marcos enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, snowboarding when the weather gets cold, and, of course, busting a move while playing dance dance revolution!
