Madeleine (Maddie) is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters student with a background in Linguistics and Writing Center work. As a Fellow in the 2023 Supplemental NBCC Minority Fellowship Program in Addictions Counseling, Madeleine is dedicated to serving under-served communities, and particularly queer and/or neurodivergent clients. Maddie works to center client autonomy and agency, informed consent, intersectionality, and multicultural humility. Her practice lens is holistic, wellness-based, and systemically-oriented. She often emphasizes awareness, curiosity, creative arts, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and self-compassion in working with clients. Madeleine enjoys many things, including reading, writing poetry, listening to podcasts, and doing arts and crafts.
