Lauren has been a counselor for almost 10 years, specializing in Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma-and-Stressor-Related Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and grief and loss. Lauren enjoys working with teens and adults utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Person Centered, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Lauren also embeds stress management strategies into her sessions, some of which can be seen as a catalyst for bridging the gap between mind and body. Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Illinois Institute of Technology. Lauren is passionate about integrative health and is knowledgeable about the intersections of mental health and chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, and feels it is a privilege to be part of your collaborative care team in order to facilitate lifelong change. Whether support means addressing relationship difficulties, adjusting to challenging life changes, or self-discovery, Lauren looks forward to building a therapeutic alliance and supporting your journey towards better mental health and a strengthened sense of wellbeing. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her partner Matt and their daughter Eliza, trying new recipes, antiquing, and being in nature.
