LaDrena Martin is a supervisee in social work, under the Clinical Supervision of Gayla Baumgardt, LCSW. She has been working in various parts of the mental health field for the last five years. Prior to working in the mental health field, LaDrena was a soldier in the United States Army. After retiring from the Army, LaDrena earned her master’s in social work. LaDrena utilizes a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), person centered, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. LaDrena’s goal is to help clients develop skills that will increase self-worth and build a solid mental health mindset that clients can rely on for all of life’s challenges. In LaDrena’s free time she enjoys reading, spending quality time with her family, and playing with her two dogs. LaDrena is passionate about bringing quality mental health care to communities that are marginalized and underserved.
