Kristen Taylor, LCSW-C

Therapist

Kristen (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in supporting school-age children, adolescents, and neurodivergent and/or LGBTQ+ folks of all ages as they work through challenges like anxiety, depression, healing attachment relationships, and gender identity and expression. In her direct work with parents and caregivers, she helps caregivers identify their child’s strengths and skills, set appropriate expectations and boundaries, and interpret their child’s behaviors as communication. Kristen is committed to providing warm, neurodiversity-affirming, and anti-oppressive care. Kristen is currently working toward DBT certification. She also incorporates play-informed therapy, artistic and expressive techniques, CBT, and other interventions dependent on each client’s needs and preferences. Kristen is highly commitment to her core professional values of social justice, equity, and access to mental health services and seeks ways to incorporate these values in all aspects of work as a provider. She received her Master of Social Work from Howard University.
