Kris is an experienced clinician that approaches every client as if they were his first one; unique and original. He believes people are resilient and have the capability to feel peace and acceptance within themselves and their relationships. Kris’s experience and passion are working with adults and teens experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, life transitions, relationship issues, and school/work-related concerns. From this experience, he learned the value of practicing compassion while challenging clients to look internally and lead a life that nurtures well-being and self-acceptance. Kris earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Oakland University, is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. He typically utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, and person centered approaches during counseling sessions, but his approach varies based on each person’s needs. Kris also believes a little humor in session goes a long way! Outside of work, Kris enjoys spending time with his wife and family. In his spare time, he enjoys adventuring with his 2 pups, playing a bit of hockey, and traveling.
