Katie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is dedicated to instilling hope and empowering clients to embrace the possibility of change. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Mississippi State University and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Memphis. With her extensive background, Katie has gained valuable experience working in an outpatient setting and working with children in foster care. She specializes in assisting individuals dealing with anxiety, life transitions, peer relationships, family conflict, self-esteem issues, and trauma. Katie takes an individualized approach to working with clients utilizing several therapy approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She values the uniqueness of each client and believes they are experts in their own lives. Creating a safe and supportive environment is Katie’s utmost priority, where individuals feel safe and heard. She particularly enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults, recognizing the transformative impact early intervention can have. Outside of work, Katie finds joy in spending time with her golden retriever, exploring new places through travel, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
