Kaitlyn Conner, MS

Therapist

Kaitlyn is an active and collaborative therapist who believes that effective therapy starts with a strong therapeutic relationship and a clear plan. Her approach is structured, engaging, and tailored to each client—sessions are interactive and focused on building practical skills that support meaningful change. If you’re looking for a therapist who will work alongside you to challenge patterns and take purposeful steps forward, Kaitlyn offers a dynamic and supportive space to do just that. If you’re seeking a space for talk therapy alone, her approach might not be the right fit.

Her primary modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—which focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thinking patterns—and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients build psychological flexibility by connecting with their values and developing tolerance for difficult emotions. Kaitlyn emphasizes personalization in her work, understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.

Kaitlyn specializes in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and uses Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and ACT to help clients gradually face fears while reducing compulsive behaviors. For trauma, she uses Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), both gold-standard treatments supported by research. For ADHD, she uses CBT and skill-building techniques to improve focus, organization, and self-management. She is also passionate about treating other presentations such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and depression using active CBT approaches. Most importantly, if someone is not ready for challenging patterns or exposure, Kaitlyn meets them where they are and integrates ACT to gently move the work forward.

Prior to joining Ellie, Kaitlyn worked at a non-profit in-patient substance use facility supporting clients with co-occurring addiction and mental health conditions. She has also has serves in the Minnesota Army National Guard for over 10 years and brings lived experience and insight into working with military and law enforcement populations. Kaitlyn is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD), deepening her clinical expertise to better serve a diverse range of clients.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, tending to her houseplants, exploring new restaurants, and studying.
