Julie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and is Initial Student Services (ISS) certified. She earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Missouri – St. Louis. Julie has experience working with a wide variety of clients, including children, adolescents and adults within agency, group practice and school settings. Julie’s therapeutic style caters sessions to each person individually. She has a passion for creating a warm, open space for clients to experience significant change in their lives, and find healing. Julie’s main treatment specializations include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, life adjustment issues, suicidal ideation and self-harm . She uses therapeutic techniques drawn from CBT, DBT, strength-based therapy and play therapy. When Julie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, watching The Office, embroidering, and reading the newest crime thriller.
