Jill has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work and is a Licensed Social Worker. Jill has worked within school systems for the last 10 years as a school social worker and school-based therapist supporting children, adolescents, staff, parents, and whole families.
Jill believes everyone can benefit from therapy. Jill likes to get to know her client’s goals, interests, and strengths and work with them to develop the best treatment plan for their individual needs. Jill incorporates a strength-based perspective and trauma-informed care. Jill utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Jill is certified in using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and can utilize this to address trauma experiences in children and adolescents.
Jill values all people regardless of age, race, gender-identity, sexuality, or background and looks forward to supporting people on their different journeys. Jill is a foster parent and soon to be adoptive parent of medically complex/special needs children. Jill’s personal and professional experiences allow her to work well with children, adolescents, and adults facing impulse-control difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or just needing some extra support handling life’s various stressors.
