Jason Brethorst

Community Based Mental Health Practitioner

Jason is a student and an aspiring therapist currently working as Community Based Mental Health Practitioner. He fully believes in a client-centered approach to working with clients, in order to best help them accomplish their goals and navigate their mental health challenges. Jason believes in a holistic approach to health and well-being, and recognizes that mental health is interdependent with many factors, including physical, spiritual, and relational well-being. He also understands the importance of helping others feel heard or seen, and is committed to being a safe presence for clients to talk to about the challenges they experience.

Prior to entering the field of mental health services, Jason was a chemistry teacher at local community college. He has felt called to serve in the field of mental health, and is committed to helping people get the care that they need to grow through their personal mental health journey. Jason has personal and professional experience navigating various mental health challenges, and knows the importance of meeting clients where they are at. He also enjoys playing sports and games, is kind of a nerd, and would love to hear what brings you joy!
