Heather is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. She has spent several years in non-profit mental health, hospitals and residential settings. She enjoys working with adolescents, adults and families utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment modalities. She is passionate about helping people heal from trauma. As a client, you can expect Heather to encourage you to be authentically yourself. Heather is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-trained provider who has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship/emotional issues, grief and trauma. She also utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Heather feels honest, direct and authentic teamwork adds to positive outcomes. Heather is LGBTQIA+ friendly. As a therapist she is warm, empathetic and flexible. Her goal is to help clients build a sense of happiness, empowerment and resilience to face life’s challenges. Heather’s focus is to make sure the client feels safe and comfortable. She wants anyone she meets to feel heard, validated, acknowledged and valued. Outside of the office Heather can be found spending quality time with her husband and family, taking her dogs for a walk and learning new things.
