Hannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and has been working in the field of mental health and substance use with adolescents, young adults, and families within a range of settings such as an outpatient clinic and an in-home community based model. Hannah earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University, and Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to process thoughts and feelings, and utilizes solution-focused therapy with the intent to guide clients through making decisions in their lives and gain skills to manage stressors. Hannah values getting to know each individual she works with so she can appropriately meet their needs. Hannah has experience treating individuals with a range of struggles such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and daily life challenges. Hannah specifically enjoys working with teenagers and young adults as they endure a developmental period of great transition involving identity struggle, low self-worth, relationship conflict, and finding their voice in this world. She helps support her clients with prioritizing their mental health and gives space for clients to experience growth in periods of discomfort with a focus of trying to increase their self-esteem. Hannah demonstrates a warm and empathetic approach to help empower clients recognize their strengths and values, instill hope, gain confidence, and improve their overall wellbeing.
