Erika Teachout, MS, LPCC

Therapist

Erika is an authentic, honest solution focused provider. She believes in the importance of meeting each client where they are free of judgement and with an unconditional positive regard. Erika entered this field in hopes of helping individuals increase their happiness and satisfaction. She understands how important it is for people to feel heard, understood and feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts with another person and builds relationships with her clients where they feel safe being themselves.

Erika uses a variety of therapeutic approaches but leans toward acceptance and commitment and reality based approaches. She has worked in a variety of positions helping people with mental and physical health concerns. Most recently she worked as an outpatient therapist, community based practitioner and provided in-home therapy and skills work to children in her community. She is looking forward to providing individual therapy to individuals 12 and older at Ellie.

When Erika is not working she is often spending time with her husband and children or with her nose in one book or another. Erika enjoys learning about and caring for indoor and outdoor plants and is often called the plant lady.
