Emily loves working with clients is someone who aren’t done growing up yet She loves working with kids for their flexibility, optimism, and openness to change. Emily also sees a lot of young adults and transition aged youth.
Play is welcome, and the time is yours to do what you need with. Emily hopes each client leaves in a little better space that they arrived. Clients can also expect some work/projects/experiments outside of sessions too. Emily hopes clients can use what they learn in therapy to make real changes in their lives and not just have “one good hour of therapy a week.”
Emily is very strength based and solution focused. She likes to take a mix of things from narrative therapy and structural family therapy at times as well.
Emily specializes in Autism (assessment and supports), anxiety, depression, child development, parenting, transition age youth, supervision. Parent support for LGBT youth, and LGBT affirming.
As a supervisor, Emily enjoys helping new providers gain skills to establish their careers. She is AAMF approved and has volunteered for the Association of Marriage Family Therapy Review Board.
