Elissa, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, complex trauma, adjustment disorders, and ADHD. Born and raised in the area, Elissa is a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and client-centered, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities including play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), social skills training, behavior modification, solution-focused therapy, coping skills development, problem-solving techniques, and the Gottman Method for couples. Elissa has a special professional interest in perinatal mental health and is passionate about supporting parents through all stages of their journey. She is known for her empathetic, strengths-based approach and commitment to helping clients build the tools and confidence they need to improve their quality of life. Outside of her clinical work, Elissa enjoys going on walks, listening to music, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with her husband, their two children, and the family dog.
