Caitlin Wheeler, LCSW

Therapist

Caitlin understands that seeking a therapist is an incredible first step at choosing yourself and your well-being – to choose yourself takes strength and bravery, and that does not go unnoticed. Caitlin is passionate about supporting those who struggle with eating/feeding disorders (ED) or disordered eating habits and are ready to start living a life that feels their own. Caitlin has experience working at an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization level of care for those suffering with an eating disorder and high levels of depression. In this setting, she has gained knowledge of working with individuals navigating concerns surrounding OCD, trauma, and personality/mood disorders and how these concerns may culminate into an ED or otherwise. Caitlin uses evidence-based treatment rooted in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), as well as exposure and response prevention (ERP) in her care.

Caitlin graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology and international studies from Baldwin Wallace University, and went on to earn a master’s in social work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. In addition to her background in social work, Caitlin is also a certified personal trainer, actively working in the field since 2019. She believes that movement, and the connection of mind, body, and spirit is integral to living a life that is fulfilled. In her free time, Caitlin is an avid runner, and has the goal to earn a Six-Star medal via completing all the major world marathons.

If you are searching for a therapist who will root for you, laugh with you, meet you where you are, challenge you, and above all else listen to you without judgement – then Caitlin may be the right fit for what you seek!
