Clinical Intern

Ashton is a master’s student completing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Denver. She is a clinician in training and is excited to work with children and young adults. She is devoted to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for all ages and identities to feel safe expressing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When you work with Ashton, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where your concerns are heard and valued. She believes in supporting you and helping you find the tools to manage your mental health and offer guidance when life challenges arise. Ashton’s primary treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Sand Tray Therapy , Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Trauma Focused Therapy. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger, blended families, early childhood, behavioral issues, and trauma. In her free time, Ashton enjoys engaging in self-care, snowboarding, cooking, and going hiking.
