Ariana has her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and her Master of Social Work, both from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Her background is in outpatient mental health, which has allowed her to work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, work-life balance, relationship struggles, and more. Ariana also has significant experience working with women navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy, reproductive loss, infertility, and the transition to motherhood. Using perspectives from neuroscience and social work, Ariana helps her clients to understand how their environment, relationships, experiences, and physical and emotional well-being all impact their mental health. She uses a collaborative, client-centered approach, so her interventions can be adapted based on her clients’ goals and needs. Some interventions that Ariana uses in therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and self-compassion techniques. These interventions have allowed Ariana to support clients in successfully gaining new perspectives, changing their behaviors, and better understanding themselves and their needs.
Ariana is approachable and mindful of the numerous stressors that clients struggle with in their daily lives. Ariana understands that therapy can be intimidating and uncomfortable, so she strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe and supported. Ariana is ready to meet you and figure out where to start on your journey to wellness together!
