Amanda is very excited to be part of the Ellie Mental Health Estero team! Though originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Amanda has lived in southwest Florida for 9 years where she recently earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. As a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, she has experience with all ages and especially excels with children, adolescents and families. Amanda comfortably applies Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy with Person-Centered, Trauma Informed and Strengths-Based approaches. She enjoys using play therapy techniques with children and loves using art therapy techniques to help clients interpret, express and resolve emotions and thoughts.
When she isn’t seeing clients, Amanda loves taking care of her plants, exploring a record store or farmers market, enjoying a nature walk, and creating new traditions with family.
