Alissa is a therapist who believes that finding a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with is the most important thing in therapy. Reaching out for help takes so much courage and your therapist’s office (or screen!) should be a place you feel safe to express yourself fully, however that looks. Humor, warmth, and compassion are things pivotal to Alissa’s personal character as well as her therapeutic approach. Before joining Ellie she worked in a hospital helping to assess levels of care for children and adolescences, in an outpatient setting with adults, and two non-profits supporting folks of all ages who have experienced interpersonal violence and sexual trauma.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends, caring for her many plants, keeping up on pop culture, and attempting to locate the best cup of coffee in the twin cities.
